Where to Stay on a Cabot Cape Breton Trip

Where to Stay on a Cabot Cape Breton Trip

There are many options available for lodging in the town of Inverness, Nova Scotia, so it’s hard to know where to stay on a Cabot Cape Breton trip. The type of accommodation we recommend, depends on the size of your group and your budget.

The Resort – Rooms

The resort offers hotel-style rooms with amazing views of the ocean and great proximity to the course and resturaunt. We recommend this option if you are travelling with one other person but suggest you book early as rooms can book up far in advance of the season opening.

The Resort – Villas

There are a few two and four bedroom villas available on both the Links and the Cliffs courses.  The villas are modern, have the same great views as the rooms but provide extra living space. We recommend the villas if you are travelling in a group of three or more in order to split the increased cost. Of the two courses, we prefer the villas at the Links, as the ones at Cliffs are pretty isolated from the amenities in town, and don’t have a clubhouse/restaurant yet.

Short Term Rentals

The higher costs and low availability of resort accommodation, has led to an increase of short term rentals in town.  These work well for groups looking for extra living space to hang out in after their round. Staying in town also means you will be close by to the pub, restaurants, shops, liquor store and the racetrack. As long as you are booking a few months in advance, you should have a pretty good selection available for any size group and for varying budgets.

Cabot Cottage

Cabot Cottage is a three-bedroom plus den, 1.5 bathroom vacation rental property which can host groups up to eight. It is on a fantastic property, directly across the street from Cabot Links and Whit’s Pub. You cannot get a short term rental closer to the first tee and Whit’s pub is within stumbling distance.

The cottage includes a fully furnished garage like no other in town. We’re talking: a big screen tv, full set up for poker, darts, sunken putting holes and even Golden Tee.

When you book your stay at Cabot Cottage, you are promising yourself a great experience both on and off the course.
